Originally TCART was considering VCT (vinyl composite tile). While it is an economical choice, after reviewing the client's requirements, the decision was made to go with sheet vinyl with a wood grained visual from Parterre. Since the space is a clinic, sheet vinyl flooring provided considerably fewer seams. The seams were chemically welded providing a moisture barrier on the floor - VCT is a 12" tile so the amount of seams, that cannot be welded, would have been substantially more. The wood grained appearance of the floor provides a warmer less clinical feeling to the space.
